ACR1581U DualBoost III is the third generation of ACS’s ACR128 DualBoost Reader. It is a dual interface reader that can access any contact and contactless smart cards following the ISO 7816, ISO 14443 Type A & B cards, and ISO 15693 standards. ACR1581U DualBoost III enables one to integrate conventionally separate and independent applications for contact and contactless technologies into one device and one card. It also features a Secure Access Module (SAM), which serves the purpose of key diversification and mutual authentication. This SAM feature ensures a high level of security in transactions.

Comprehensive SDK—The ACR1581U Comprehensive USB NFC SDK is a collection of PC/SC-compliant sample codes, for device and card programming. The SDK is designed to help software developers with the necessary tools and guidance to streamline their development process and create applications that effectively utilize the ACR1581U DualBoost III.

Card Emulation and Keyboard Emulation Capability—The Smart Card and Reader Tool in this SDK includes NFC and NDEF tools to demonstrate the NFC capability of the ACR1581U. The card emulation function enables the card reader to simulate the behavior of a contactless smart card, while the keyboard emulation function allows card readers to work with a wide range of software applications that accept keyboard input.
