1. What types of smart cards does MoTechno supply?
MoTechno offers a wide range of smart cards including CardOS V5.3 / V5.4 / V6.1, JCOP 4 (J3R180, J3R452), DESFire EV3, and FIDO2 security modules. Both contact and contactless (NFC) variants are available, including hybrid and dual-interface cards. Other card operating systems upon request.
2. Do you provide initialization or personalization services?
Yes. We offer card initialization with T=0, T=1, personalization with your dedicated keys, and can deliver cards with pre-install applets (e.g., FIDO2, SafeSign, CardOS API, or custom applets).
For small quantities, we can also deliver pre-initialized cards for testing and evaluation.
3. Which smart card readers are compatible with your cards?
Our smart cards work with most standard USB readers such as ACS ACR39U, ACR40U and ACM1552U or Omnikey 3121. We can also supply readers directly and provide driver and SDK support.
4. Do you offer FIDO2 or QSCD-certified solutions?
Yes. We support FIDO2 (version 2.1) and can supply QSCD-compliant modules upon request.
Please specify whether you need open-source FIDO2 (for testing) or a certified professional solution.
5. What is the memory capacity of the cards?
Depending on the model, capacities range from 80 KB to 450 KB NVM (EEPROM).
This is sufficient for multiple X.509 certificates, keys, and authentication data — suitable for Active Directory, PKI, or two-factor authentication.
6. Can I order cards with MIFARE or DESFire features?
Yes. We offer MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3, and Hybrid Cards combining JCOP, CardOS, Idprime with MIFARE chips.
Please specify your preferred configuration (e.g., memory size or interface type).
7. Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely. We ship from Germany to most EU countries, including Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, and worldwide upon request.
8. What middleware or SDKs are available?
We support CardOS API, cryptovision solutions and AET SafeSign middleware.
Integration guides for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments are available on request.
9. Can you supply reader and card bundles?
Yes, we offer complete packages (smart cards + readers + middleware) to simplify integration and achieve cost efficiency, especially for larger projects.
