  • Product Overview

The JavaCard 3.0.4 Classic implementation by NXP represents the latest generation of the JCOP (Java Card Open Platform) technology, providing enhanced performance, improved security, and strong compatibility with industry standards. This new edition has been designed to meet the evolving requirements of IT security, e-government, banking, and transport applications, offering a flexible and unified platform that simplifies integration while reducing overall development and maintenance costs.

The J2H145 JCOP 3 SECID P60 CS on SmartMX2 is a contact-only solution, designed for secure and stable operation in environments where physical connectivity is preferred for reliability and controlled access. This design ensures robust communication through traditional card readers, making it ideal for secure identification, payment cards, government ID projects, and enterprise authentication systems. By focusing exclusively on contact functionality, the platform achieves optimized performance, lower power consumption, and long-term durability.

Built on the JavaCard 3.0.4 Classic architecture, this JCOP version supports multi-application environments and provides 110,468 bytes of available user memory, allowing multiple secure applets to coexist on a single card. The memory capacity supports the storage of digital certificates, cryptographic keys, and authentication credentials, making the product suitable for complex security ecosystems. Its architecture is engineered for efficient memory utilization, ensuring consistent performance even when executing resource-intensive cryptographic operations.

At the core of the platform, dedicated hardware coprocessors deliver accelerated cryptographic processing for both public and private key operations. The card supports a wide range of encryption and hashing standards, including RSA (Rivest–Shamir–Adleman) up to 2048 bits, ECC (Elliptic Curve Cryptography) on GF(p) up to 521 bits, AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with key lengths up to 256 bits, and 3DES (Triple Data Encryption Standard) for legacy applications. Additionally, it supports SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512 hashing algorithms, ensuring compatibility with diverse security protocols and certification requirements.

By combining a proven secure architecture, hardware-accelerated cryptography, and the flexibility of Java-based programmability, the NXP J2H145 JCOP 3 SECID P60 CS offers a robust foundation for modern smart card solutions. It is a reliable, scalable, and standards-compliant platform, ready to meet the demands of identity, banking, and secure access systems across global markets.
